Your partner in research and development
We assist SMEs, public labs and private-public consortia in the search of funds
adapted to the maturity of their project and support them in the well-targeted setting up of their research and
innovation proposals.
The EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation running from 2014 to 2020, with
a planned budget of 80 billion €uros, is part of the drive to create new growth and jobs in Europe. It will provide
major simplification through a single set of rules, combining all research and innovation funding currently
provided (FPRTD,
CIP,
EIT).
Its aim is to tackle societal challenges by helping to bridge the gap between research
and the market and by developing innovative instruments to finance the required investments. Thus, the mechanisms
for R&D funding through the EU Framework Programmes are substantially relevant tools for the development of
innovation and competitiveness.
We help our costumers to clarify main questions with respect to the eligibility of a research, innovation or
enterprise development to a given funding source, its matching with the timeframe of the call, the type of
financial support, and the conditions of partnering.
The funding in the form of grants is generally allocated through the publication of calls for proposals,
where project ideas have to be submitted by a certain deadline, comply with clearly defined themes and have
the required partnership structure.
Nevertheless, even though calls for proposals are the main tool to allocate funds, tenders and other types of support are in some cases
available.
We work to address the major criteria of the calls for proposals based on more than a decade of expertise in evaluating
proposals for the EC. Indeed, due to the overflow of applicants for European R&D funds, it is crucial to strictly follow the formal aspects of
each call, which requires a precise shaping of a project beyond its intrinsic scientific value.
This includes appropriateness regarding the applicant’s capacities, well-balanced and synergistic partnerships,
managerial skills, technological maturity and risk, timeliness of needs, market size and potential, return on
investment and structuring impact in terms of innovation, growth and employment.
